Our history
Salitix understands the nuances and complexity of trading in the UK retail sector, because it’s what we have been doing for decades for a broad range of FMCG suppliers like you. Many of our team started out working for the big retailers in the 80s and 90s before founding Salitix in 2011, providing us with a unique perspective on the trading relationship between both parties. This means we understand the intricacies of trade spending from both a retailer and supplier viewpoint across the consumer goods marketplace. We have negotiated with and secured settlements from a broad range of retailers – all with their own unique way of trading and constructing commercial contracts. It’s this experience and expertise that makes us uniquely positioned to support branded suppliers selling their products in the UK, who want to ensure that they maximise the value of their trade spend, year in, year out.
Why Salitix
Our people have many years of experience working on both the supplier and retailer sides of the retail sector, with experience in grocery and non-grocery retail markets. This has given us an in-depth understanding of commercial contracts and accounting know-how, specifically around intent within contracts.
We know how to extract, manage, and analyse big data sets. We’re comfortable working with different data types from multiple sources, and we’re fluent in all major programming languages. Put simply, we’re data natives.
Our established processes and methodologies enable us to find errors where others cannot. Our trade spend reviews identify irregularities across a broad range of claim types for many different suppliers and their commercial agreements with retailers. Our existing relationships with retailers allows us to work with them to resolve any contractual discrepancies.
